Hydraulic press for crushing the blocks made of expanded polystyrene is used for pressing the blocks of expanded polystyrene, to change the internal structure of the material. Expanded polystyrene with changed structure is used for production of expanded polystyrene blocks which absorb noise. The press enables obtaining a deformation of expanded polystyrene block down to 70% of the pressed block. Press pressure is selected depending on block dimensions.
